About the street department
The mission of the Camden Street Department is to enhance public safely, improve infrastructure, and uphold a high standard of service to the community.

Brush & Demolition Pick-Up
All brush and demolition materials that are to be picked up by the Street Department must be separate as these items are picked up on separate schedules.

Loose Leaf Collection
- Leaf vacuum trucks will collect leaves from only residential properties inside city limits
- Loose leaves set out by contractors or landscapers will not be collected by the City
- There is no set schedule or pattern for leaf collection
- Do not mix grass clippings, branches, hedge clippings, dirt or other items with loose leaves
- Leaves must be raked onto the curb for collection at least 5 feet away from obstructions, such as automobiles, fences, mailboxes, power poles and shrubs
- Trucks will not backtrack while moving through a neighborhood, but crews will make periodic returns to a neighborhood
- Collection will take place weather permitting at least once each month throughout the City, depending on the quality of leaves
- Equipment and personnel availability may affect collection
